How Are Points Calculated ..
If a dog gains lots of places (maybe never even winning 1st) then it is entirely possible that dog could win a Class League.
Points allocation (for ANY level of class):
1st Place = 10
2nd Place = 9
3rd Place = 8
4th Place = 7
5th Place = 6
6th Place = 5
Points/result entries are closed at the end of each December (no updates for closed year can be made after this).
Points are at zero at the beginning of each year.
If you think your points are incorrect on any league listing always email me before end of December so I can check / correct
- Each class placing (1st to 6th) is given points.
- The points for each class level are added together to give a figure that goes into each Class League you are in.
- In the Class Leagues your points relate to each class level, in all other leagues your points from ALL class levels are added together to get an overall total.
- The points for all additional leagues are gained via the Class Leagues

Example of Class League points:
Dog A (Novice) might win 3 Novices gaining 30 points and then moves out of Novice
Dog B (Novice) might gain 2 x 2nd places plus a 3rd plus a 6th gaining 31 points and so going ahead of Dog A in the Class League
Example of Area Leagues & Breed Rescue Leagues points:
Dog A gained 30 points in Novice and then gained places in Class A worth 20 points, total of classes = 50
Dog B gained 31 points in Novice and then gained places in Class A & B worth 18 points, total of classes = 49
Therefore in the Additional Leagues Dog A would be ahead of Dog B.

Year End Totals:
If dogs tie with equal points in any of the Leagues then each dog gains that award (ie if 3 are placed first then they all gain first place.
Only exception to this is for the Top Dog Trophy which has a first place ruling for the Perpetual Shield allocation:
Top Scoring Dog Award only: If there is more than one dog in 1st position all will get 1st place Certificates and Rosettes - BUT the Perpetual Shield (to be held for one year only) (kindly donated in 2017 by Sharon Webley) will be given to the dog who has achieved the 1st place score with the 'least' amount of placings.
